Yesterday morning I got to meet and photograph teeny tiny cutie, Aaron. Little Aaron made me work! Poor wee lamb wasn’t feeling 100% though, but still he did really well and we got some lovely shots! Including a few in his full Scottish kilt outfit, which he loved wearing!

Last week I spent a few days down in London at the SWPP (Society of Wedding & Portrait Photographers) annual convention. The convention was attended by over 12000 photographers from around the world. It was a superb few days of learning, networking and of course there may have been a few wines
On the Sunday night was the annual awards and I knew my father (Alan Hutchison Photography – superb, check him out!!) and I were up against each other for the ‘members choice general photographer of the year’ but got a huge shock when they announced that myself, my father and fellow photographer Alec Davies had joint won the title!! Im still in shock from it all as it is a fierce competition and there are so many wonderful and inspirational photographers in the running! I love my wee trophy, which of course butterfingers here dropped! However I will take this opportunity to assure all my mummies that I do not in any way have butterfingers when it comes to handling their children!!

Hot on the heels of winning ‘SWPP Members Choice General Photographer of the Year 2011′ (i’ll blog about that later ) I got to go meet and photograph brand new little man Alistair! Alistair was due in-between Christmas and New Year but kept his poor Mummy waiting a whole 10 days over her due date! However I bet the minute this cutie was placed in her arms, all was forgiven. Alistair was just lovely and we got some cracking shots! I’ve used the image of him on the wee sofa to try a new processing technique which gives a lovely artistic feel to it, would love to know your thoughts!
