It seems I dont often have the time to photograph my own family, so when my mum asked me to take some photos of her and my two daughters I jumped at the chance. So here you go here is a few….and yep thats my mum not me!

As a Scottish Photographer living in Angus but with roots elsewhere I often find myself travelling for photoshoots and today I travelled back to my hometown of Alloa, Clackmannanshire. I left Alloa seven years ago so it was nice to see it again, and boy has it changed a lot in the last few years. So today I had a photography session with 6 month old baby boy ‘C’. What a cutie with his big blue eyes and little pouty lips! Mr ‘C’ has just learned to sit up unaided in the past few days so I was delighted to capture a photograph of this milestone! Here are a few from todays photoshoot!

Today I had a family portrait session with a Broughty Ferry family and their 11 week old daughter miss ‘E’! My first little girl photoshoot in a long while actually, Ive had a long run of boys!
What a cutie, with beautiful dark eyes. Miss ‘E’ took a little to get her smiling…in fact I bet mum didn’t think a few months ago that she would be so ready to sing about poops and pee to make her baby smile Anyway, here is a few of the shots from today!

Today I had a session with ‘K’ who just celebrated his first birthday last week! As a baby and child photographer in Scotland (and mother to a one year old) I know they dont like to stay still for very long so many of the images captured today are action shots!
So here is a sneak preview of some of todays shots of the very handsome blue-eyed boy! And again Happy first Birthday!!

As a Family photographer i know it is vital to make clients as comfortable and relaxed as possible during their professional portrait sessions, and usually it takes a little coaxing for a child to come out of their shells. However for the son of the ‘A’ family this was not an issue, this little boy could talk until your ears fell off and would probably continue talking until said ears grew legs and ran away… 
‘A’ is extremely clever and has a superb imagination so his constant chatter proved to be a lot of fun and certainly kept me entertained throughout the photoshoot! I can’t wait to meet him again!
I must make a specific mention for Mrs ‘A’ who looked amazing in her stunning colourful traditional dresses! And despite Mr ‘A’s best efforts to escape the camera we managed to get some lovely portraits! Here is a sneak preview from the portrait session with more to follow soon!
